No. 4: Duxbury boys are six shooters
Every year the state
gets a little closer to
beating Duxbury. And
every year the Duxbury
boys' lacrosse team wins
another state title. This
spring was No. 6 for the
Green Dragons, coming in a season
in which they suffered their first
loss to a Massachusetts team after
winning 99 straight games. Duxbury
beat St. John's Prep, 13-12, in the
title game, gaining a measure of
revenge after the Prep ended the win
streak last month. "St. John's has
a heck of a team and it could have
gone either way," said Duxbury coach
Chris Sweet. But once again, it went
Duxbury's way.
