No. 5: D'Argento ends with no-hitter
What better way to end
a career in which you
finished 62-0 than with
a no-hitter in the state
title game? That's exactly
what Ashland's Nicole
D'Argento did in a 3-0 win
over Hudson. The Boston College-bound
pitcher had a brilliant high
school career, never losing a game.
"I give all the credit in the world to
my team tonight," she said. "This
was just a perfect ending to a perfect
season." And with a 62-0 record, we'd
add a perfect career. The day was a
winner for all three EMass softball
teams, with Lexington winning
Division 1 behind Kiki Saveriano's
two-hitter, and St. Mary's taking
Division 3.
