Maybe Springfield is a little outside the Globes normal coverage area but you have to admit the accomplishments of New Leaderships Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir were anything but normal. In her final season at the Springfield charter school, the 5-foot-3-inch guard became the states all-time leading scorer with 3,061 points, breaking the record held by Rebecca Lobo. Shes the only player in state history to crack the 3,000 mark after a senior year in which she averaged 41.8 ppg. And you havent seen the last of Abdul-Qaadir. She will attend the University of Memphis.
