1. St. John's Prep (9-5-3)
2. Malden Catholic (8-2-4)
3. Lynnfield (12-2-4)
4. Gloucester (10-4-2)
5. Peabody (13-4-0)
6. Swampscott (10-4-3)
7. Masconomet (10-6-0)
8. Bishop Fenwick (9-5-1)
9. St. Mary's (9-6-2)
10. Saugus (8-5-2)
Game of the Week
Saugus at Revere (Wednesday, 6:15 p.m.): Both teams are still fighting for tournament berths and Saugus has an outside chance at the Northeastern Conference South title.
Player to Watch
Craig Cataldo, Lynnfield: As an eighth-grader, Cataldo grew up in a big way, giving the Pioneers the late-season push they needed to run through the state tournament last year. He's been just as good in goal as a freshman this season, with a 1.85 goals-against average as crunch time approaches.
Top 5 Girls' Teams
1. St. Mary's (17-0)
2. Wakefield (11-2-1)
3. Everett (12-1-2)
4. Marblehead (9-5-3)
5. Beverly (7-9-0)
Game of the Week
Marblehead at Wakefield (Saturday, 2:30 p.m.): It has no effect on the standings, but playing one of the top teams in the area should be a nice little warm-up for Marblehead before its last conference game of the season at Beverly.
Player to Watch
Rachel Konaxis, Beverly: The senior center was in on the ground floor of the Panthers program, playing with the boys before there was even a girls' team; last week, she became the squad's first-ever 100-point scorer.
