Kristen Carroll, Shawsheen Valley Tech: The junior netted a pair of goals in a 4-2 win over host Brookline at Boston University’s Walter Brown Arena.

Jack Drapeau, Westford Academy: The junior center contributed to the 5-0 shutout of MVC/DCL foe Concord-Carlisle with a goal and two assists.

Danny Holland, Woburn: In a thrilling 3-2 win over St. John’s Prep, the senior winger scored the game-winning goal in the third period.

Joe Strangie, Danvers: In the first Mike Clifford Memorial game, the junior center notched a hat trick in a 4-1 victory over visiting Peabody.

Malden Catholic vs. Boston College High (Saturday, 5:40 p.m.): The two Catholic Conference powers meet for the first time at the Valley Forum II in Malden. Defending Super 8 champion Malden Catholic has junior standout Ryan Fitzgerald (shoulder) back in the lineup for the first time since last year’s state tournament (he made his return last night against St. John’s Prep). BC High sank St. John’s High from Shrewsbury, 7-2, Saturday behind goalie Peter Cronin (he carried an eight-period shutout streak into the third period). Last time they played, Malden Catholic upset the Eagles 4-2 in the Super 8 semifinals.
