Softball Game to Watch

Newton South (5-0) at Boston Latin (4-2), Monday, 4 p.m.: The Dual County League Large Division game against Boston Latin (3-1 in DCL play) carries some weight for the Lions (3-0), vying to keep pace with Acton-Boxborough (4-0). Newton South has received strong pitching from freshman Kim-An Quinn, who struck out 14 in a 2-1 win over Lincoln-Sudbury last week, while senior shortstop Maya Alper and sophomore second baseman Joy Yang will look to continue their strong starts at the dish.
