HIGH FIVE

Mike Santos , Hudson: In the eighth inning of his team’s 6-5 win over New Bedford, the senior hit a one-out single, stole second, and then scored the game-winning run on a single by sophomore Ben Palatino.
Shannon Smith , Milford: The Kentucky-bound senior tossed a perfect game on Wednesday, a 15-0 five-inning win over Stoughton in which she struck out 13 of the 15 batters she faced. It was her fifth perfecto and the 21st no-hitter of her career.
Kevin Superko , Wellesley: The senior righty threw a no-hitter, striking out nine, to beat Milton last week, 4-0. His gem snapped Wellesley’s three-game losing streak.

Newton South has received strong pitching from freshman Kim-An Quinn, who struck out 14 in a 2-1 win over Lincoln-Sudbury last week, while senior shortstop Maya Alper and sophomore second baseman Joy Yang will look to continue their strong starts at the dish.
