Energetic and focused, Julie Olivier stood in the middle of a circle of Westford Academy girls’ lacrosse players.

Her Grey Ghosts held an 11-1 cushion at the break of their season opener against Chelmsford Saturday, but their execution had been far from perfect.

“Girls, what do you want to work on?” Olivier asked as she gazed into the eyes of her huddle.

Suggestions started flying.

Olivier listened to all of them, nodding her head.

Their lackluster performance in those final 25 minutes might not have been what Olivier asked for, but it’s all part of the process.
