Senior Emily Weiner and her freshman sister Liz have been the leaders for Duxbury this season. It was no different Tuesday as the sisters sparked a second-half rally as the 18th-ranked Green Dragons beat Silver Lake, 6-1, in a soccer match at Kingston.
“I’ve never seen anything like that,” said Duxbury’s Emerson Coleman, who’s been coaching since 1978. “You walk away like, ‘what just happened?’ ”
It didn’t look good for Duxbury (4-0-1) after Silver Lake’s Ashley Arroyo scored the game’s first goal with five minutes left in the first half.
