The biggest boys’ soccer rivalry game in the Catholic Conference lived up to its reputation Saturday in Danvers, as No. 8 St. John’s Prep came back from a goal down to defeat No. 6 BC High, 3-1.
After an uneventful first half in front of goal for both teams, BC High (4-1) broke the deadlock just six minutes into the second half.
Senior right back Silas Wallace drove a cross deep to the back post, where junior forward Pat Juffre headed the ball in to give the visitor’s a 1-0 lead.
But St. John’s Prep bounced back quickly. Junior striker Pat Foley pounced on a loose ball in the box and scored the equalizer. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
