High school boys’ soccer players of the week

Klisman Sousa, New Bedford — The senior forward scored a hat trick on Thursday in a 4-0 win over Durfee. Sousa is the Whalers’ leading goal scorer with 11.

Adam Chernew, Wellesley — The senior midfielder scored four goals in a week in which the Raiders went 2-0. Chernew notched a hat trick in a 4-0 win over Milton.

Zach Rowell, St. John’s Prep — The Eagles’ junior goalkeeper made eight save against Weymouth for a 1-0 win and his second shutout of the season.

Michael Skarabelis, North Andover — Skarabelis, a senior on the Knights’ 10-0 team, netted a hat trick against Tewksbury in a 5-0 win.

Luis Guerra, Somerville — In a matchup against eighth-ranked Masconomet, Guerra made 12 saves in a 2-1 win for the No. 1 Highlanders.

Zach Coggins, BC High — The Eagles’ senior midfielder scored the winning goal at St. John’s (Shrewsbury) in the 78th minute on Monday. On Saturday, Coggins scored the tying goal in the 70th minute against No. 2 Needham in a 1-1 stalemate.
