The fate of the Notre Dame (Hingham) girls’ soccer team was at the feet of senior Gabby Kenyon in Thursday’s Division 2 state final. The Cougars were tied with Wilmington 2-2 after 110 minutes of play and even 3-3 in the penalty shootout after four and a half rounds. Kenyon’s shot was for the state championship.

“Gabby has been a rock for us all season,” said seven-year Notre Dame coach Liz Lima. “She always scores when the team needs her most. It takes a lot to step up and be that confident.”
