North Quincy boys’ volleyball has sizable goals this spring

Oresti Bega rattled off the list of players who graduated off the varsity boys’ volleyball team at North Quincy High.

Both of the team’s outside hitters, its middle hitter, its setter, along with the libero. In all, the Red Raiders lost eight players.

After the season ended with disappointing loss to Greater New Bedford in the first round of the Division 1 South tournament, Bega prepared for a rebuilding year. He is one of only three returning players with meaningful experience.

But the addition of a towering presence, 6-foot-9 senior Anthony Green, in the offseason has changed the team’s spirits. And now, Bega is very optimistic.
