The New England Revolution re-signed goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth to a new contract.

Shuttleworth, 25, has made 21 starts since signing with the team in 2009 and has posted a 1.00 goals against average in his first two starts this season. Last year, his 0.71 GAA was the lowest among backup goalkeepers with at least three starts. He also has four career shutouts.

Shuttleworth played three seasons at the University of Buffalo, where he had a 20-7-7 career record and a 0.80 GAA and was acquired by the Revolution as a free transfer from the Austin Aztex of the United Soccer Leagues.
