The Revolution play the red-hot New York Red Bulls Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. It will be the second game in four nights for both teams, however the Revolution are coming of a difficult, 2-1 loss to Real Salt Lake at Foxborough; the host Red Bulls downed Montreal, 2-1.
The Revolution held a 1-0 lead into the 75th minute against Salt Lake, allowed two quick goals, then failed on a penalty kick in extra time.
“It was a cruel finish, the way the game ended on Wednesday,” Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen said. “A lot of guys were pretty down about it. But the good thing about this quick turnaround is that it should help us forget about that. We’re hungry to get a win.” Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
