Mayor, Revolution Hosting World Cup Viewing Party at City Hall

Boston mayor Marty Walsh and the New England Revolution will host a World Cup viewing party Thursday for the USA vs. Germany game. The event at City Hall (One City Hall Square, Boston) will begin at 11:30 a.m. for the game at noon.

The event is free to the public and will feature the Revolution’s mascot, Rev Girls, and street team with on site with give-a-ways and activities for fans. Food trucks will be present on site. No alcohol sales will be permitted.

There are several scenarios in which the US can advance to the elimination round of the World Cup based on the result of the game, but the most basic of which are with a win or a tie. The last match the US played, vs. Portugal, broke viewership records.
