Donovan's goals snap United's streak

Landon Donovan scored two second-half goals to give the Los Angeles Galaxy a 3-2 victory over D.C. United last night in Washington.

Donovan's second goal, a header off Cobi Jones's centering pass, came a minute after United's second goal and 14 minutes after Donovan's first.

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for United (11-7-5). The Galaxy (10-9-5) had not won a game outside of the Los Angeles area since June 27, 2004, when they won at Chicago.

Crew 1, FC Dallas 0 -- Cornell Glen scored in the 81st minute to give host Columbus the victory in a rain-delayed match.

Glen redirected a pass from Crew midfielder Chris Henderson.

Dallas defender Chris Gbandi was spared an own-goal on the play as officials judged the ball would have crossed the goal line anyway.

Earthquakes 1, Real Salt Lake 0 -- Mark Chung scored an unassisted goal in the 41st minute to give San Jose the victory in Salt Lake City.
