Striker Taylor Twellman remained in Boston for treatment of a groin strain as the Revolution arrived in Bermuda for preseason training yesterday.
Twellman worked out with the team earlier in the week, but his status has not been determined for the exhibition opener against the Bermuda national team in Hamilton Saturday night.
Two Costa Rican players could be joining the Revolution: CD Saprissa defender Gabriel Badilla, 23, who performed for the Ticos in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and Santos forward Argenis Fernandez, 20.
Badilla, 5 feet 11 inches, 160 pounds, has been a national team starter since a 2-1 loss to Poland in Costa Rica's third game in the World Cup, last playing for the Ticos in a 1-0 loss to Sweden in San Jose, Costa Rica, Jan. 13. Fernandez, who is 5-6, 133 pounds, performed as a reserve for Costa Rica in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Canada last year and is the leading scorer for Santos. His transfer fee is $200,000.
