FOXBOROUGH, Mass.—San Jose's James Riley -- selected from New England in the expansion draft -- headed a ball into his own net and the Revolution beat the Earthquakes 2-0 Saturday night.

Kheli Dube scored for New England (5-3-1) in the sixth minute, before Riley's own goal in the 23rd.

San Jose (1-5-1) only had one shot on target and four overall.

Taylor Twellman didn't play for New England because of an injured ankle.
