Crew catch Fire with late goal

Steven Lenhart scored the tying goal in the 87th minute to cap Columbus's comeback from a two-goal deficit and give the Crew a 2-2 draw with the visiting Chicago Fire last night.

Chris Rolfe and Calen Carr scored first-half goals for Chicago (6-5-3), which is winless in its last five games.

Emmanuel Ekpo scored in the 36th minute to cut the lead in half for the Crew (8-4-3).

Chicago captain Cuauhtemoc Blanco dropped a high pass into the penalty area that Justin Mapp blasted off the goal post. The ball caromed to Rolfe, whose header put Chicago on top in the eighth.

Chivas 1, Earthquakes 0 - Ante Razov scored on a free kick in the 88th minute, helping Chivas USA beat host San Jose and move into a first-place tie in the Western Conference.

Adam Cristman scored two goals in a four-minute span to give the Revolution a 2-1 victory over the Galaxy in Carson, Calif., Friday night.

The Revolution (10-4-3) hold a 6-point lead over second-place Columbus in the Eastern Conference.

David Beckham scored his fifth goal of the season for the Galaxy (6-6-3), whose winless streak reached three games.
