U.S. ease to 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The United States maintained their 100 percent record in World Cup qualifying with 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, their third consecutive victory.
The U.S head CONCACAF Group One with nine points having beaten Guatemala and Cuba away before Wednesday's comfortable win over the Caribbean side.
Michael Bradley, son of U.S coach Bob Bradley, gave the home side the lead in the 10th minute with a neatly flicked finish as he rushed into the area to meet a free-kick whipped in from the left by Landon Donovan.
Eight minutes later Clint Dempsey, who scored in Saturday's 1-0 win against Cuba in Havana, produced a cool finish after a smart exchange with DaMarcus Beasley.
Bradley's side were in total command against a disappointing Trinidad and Tobago side who gave their hosts far too much time and space and missed the attacking contribution of Dwight Yorke.
It was not until the 57th minute that the U.S put the game definitively beyond their opponents when Beasley fired a free-kick into the area, Oguchi Onyewu's header was parried by keeper Marvin Phillip and striker Brian Ching slotted home the rebound.
"We didn't win decisively against Cuba and Guatemala but we did it here and now we are almost guaranteed a spot (in the next round). We took our chances well tonight," said Dempsey.
