Revolution (4-4-4, 16 points): This is their first MLS match in three weeks after competing in group play of the SuperLiga Tournament. The Revolution also lost to the Harrisburg City Islanders, 2-1, Tuesday night in the third round of the US Open Cup . . . Shalrie Joseph (knee) and Steve Ralston (hamstring) will be missing from the midfield, and defender Jay Heaps is with the US national team to compete in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . . . The Revolution are 2-1-2 against the Galaxy in July 4 games. Overall, the Revolution haven’t lost to Los Angeles since April 3, 2004, going 6-0-3 in that span.

Galaxy (3-3-9, 18 points): Los Angeles defeated the Houston Dynamo, 1-0, last Sunday to break a two-game losing streak . . . Star striker Landon Donovan could be back in the Galaxy lineup after spending the last month with the US national team . . . Earlier this week, the Galaxy acquired striker Alecko Eskandarian from Chivas USA. Eskandarian, who turns 27 Thursday, has 28 goals and 12 assists in 122 MLS games . . . The Galaxy will be without goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, who is with Jamaica for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Ricketts has a 1.00 goals-against average in 13 games.
