SANDY, Utah — Alvaro Saborio scored twice in a five-minute span of the second half and Real Salt Lake routed the Revolution, 5-0, last night to extend its home unbeaten streak to a franchise-record 18 games.
Defending MLS champion Salt Lake (8-3-3) also extended its overall unbeaten streak to nine with its fourth straight shutout. Goalkeeper Nick Rimando has not allowed a goal in 408 minutes, breaking his franchise-record streak of 355 minutes.
Fabian Espindola and Jamison Olave had first-half goals and Robbie Findley completed the scoring in the second half.
