SANDY, Utah — Alvaro Saborio scored twice in a five-minute span of the second half and Real Salt Lake routed the Revolution, 5-0, last night to extend its home unbeaten streak to a franchise-record 18 games.

Defending MLS champion Salt Lake (8-3-3) also extended its overall unbeaten streak to nine with its fourth straight shutout. Goalkeeper Nick Rimando has not allowed a goal in 408 minutes, breaking his franchise-record streak of 355 minutes.

Fabian Espindola and Jamison Olave had first-half goals and Robbie Findley completed the scoring in the second half.

The Revolution (3-9-2) were shut out for the fifth time in six games and are just 1 point from the cellar in the Eastern Conference. They have lost their last two games at Rio Tinto Stadium by a combined 11-0.

Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis faced 10 shots in just his second start of the season because of knee and shoulder surgeries.
