Sainey Nyassi has not played as a striker since filling in on a temporary basis for Ports Authority, his club in The Gambia. But Nyassi, 19, could be lining up alongside Kheli Dube at forward when the Revolution play host to D.C. United at Gillette Stadium Thursday night.

The Revolution's starting strikers, Kenny Mansally (national team duty) and Taylor Twellman (right ankle), are out for three weeks, and the Revolution are having to improvise. Adam Cristman (sprained toe) started the first seven games in place of Twellman, but has played only three minutes in the last three games.

Nyassi, who has scored twice as a right wing this season, trained with the starters in a striker position Wednesday.
