Boston employs 'Tweet Bomb' to better its 2018 World Cup chances
The City of Boston needs your help around 2 p.m. today. It is using a social media tactic in hopes of improving its chances to host the soccer World Cup in 2018.
It's a ''Tweet Bomb'' -- a massive series of messages on the social networking site Twitter -- sent to the U.S. soccer proponents of the games, who are meeting today in Zurich with international organizers of the world's largest sporting event.
Here's the link to Tweet: .@goUSAbid gives FIFA their bid to host World Cup. Sign petition to support the USA & BOSTON! http://www.gousabid.com #goUSAbid PLS RT.
Here's the message if you just want to cut-and-paste into your Twitter account::

UPDATE: To clarify, this is in support of the US bid, under which Greater Boston would be one of many venues.
