The US national team has called upon former Boston College midfielder Alejandro Bedoya while it awaits evaluation of the Revolution's Benny Feilhaber after Feilhaber injured his ankle Saturday in a 1-0 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Feilhaber was seen on crutches and his foot was in a boot after the match.

The US national team is playing 4:30 p.m. Saturday June 4 at Gillette Stadium in a friendly against defending World Cup champion Spain before starting group play in the Gold Cup against Canada Tuesday June 7. Teams in the Gold Cup have up until 24 hours before their first match to replace injured players on their teams, according to US soccer.
