New England Revolution trade for No. 1 pick in MLS draft

The New England Revolution will have the the top pick in Thursday's Major League Soccer SuperDraft following a trade with Toronto FC on Wednesday, the team announced.

The Revolution have never before possessed the top pick in the draft. New England sent the fourth overall pick and allocation money to Toronto.

The Revolution's previous highest pick was in 2002, when it selected Taylor Twellman No. 2 overdraft.

The SuperDraft begins Thursday at noon.
