In preparation for this week’s much-anticipated “NFL Films Presents: Tecmo Bowl,” I may have to go retro and blow off work as I watch the special over and over again for about 12 straight hours.
Seriously though, can a collegiate video game dork ask for anything more than a one-hour special on the game that single-handedly probably dropped his GPA at least one point? If it weren’t for Tecmo and NHL ’94 (and ’95), who knows where half of us might be. The music. The killer graphics. Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson. Video games never got any better.
That being said, if RBI Baseball were also still big in my college days, I probably would have flunked out.
