
Fifteen days after making his major league debut, 23-year-old Clay Buchholz threw the 17th no-hitter in franchise history in a 10-0 win over the Orioles on Sept. 1. There were a couple of close calls, but the rookie needed just 115 pitches to become the stuff of legend.
