Journey to the center of the earth

Well, sort of. Walk through the three-story Mapparium, a stained glass globe at the Mary Baker Eddy Library. Get a 3-D perspective of the world and learn how geography evolved over time. Go deeper: Check out letters, documents, and artifacts about the Mapparium's construction and history in the adjoining exhibit.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tues.-Sun. Closed on Monday. $6, $4 seniors, students, and ages 6-17. Mary Baker Eddy Museum, 200 Mass. Ave., Boston. 617-450-7000. www.marybakereddylibrary.org
