Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage

A Cambridge institution since 1960, Mr. Bartley's serves up tempting burgers named for political figures and local celebrities — like the Hillary Clinton ($9.45; right) — to a seemingly endless stream of hungry customers. A children's menu is available, but junior sports nuts might enjoy the "intense" Kevin Garnett burger, topped with jack cheese, chili, salsa, and sour cream ($9.99).

In the area: Mr. Bartley's is an institution and practically an attraction on its own, but you can also check out Harvard Square. Or, head down Mass. Ave. to the MIT Museum (Here's a photo tour).

1246 Mass. Ave., Cambridge. 617-354-6559. www.mrbartley.com
