When you leave the museum, take another look at Foucault's pendulum. You'll see that it's still swinging back and forth in the same place, but many more stones are knocked over. How can this be? The pendulum may have stayed in place, but the earth moved underneath it while you were walking through the exhibits. Foucault's pendulum proves that the earth rotates!
