Where to watch the game

Squealing Pig

The Squealing Pig in Mission Hill isn't a "sports" bar, per se, but I couldn't imagine a better place to watch the last game of the 2004 World Series — except maybe St. Louis. This neighborhood pub, tucked on a side street off Huntington Avenue, knows what sports fans need: reasonably priced drinks, Parmesan fries, and a projection screen TV the size of a wall.

It's no wonder the bar filled to capacity by the second inning. But that didn't deter many late spectators who stood on the sidewalk and watched the rest of the game through the bar's large windows.

134 Smith St., Boston, 617-566-665.
