Why we love it: This brick- and tree-lined haven has an ideal mix of sun and shade. The multitude of tables, benches and grassy areas makes this the perfect place to bring your laptop (hello, free Wi-Fi) and do a little work or Facebook-surfing alfresco. There's something strangely relaxing about the sounds of running water juxtaposed with women's heels clicking on the concrete.
People watching score: 5. The area is swarming with young professionals on their lunch breaks, suits on Starbucks runs, and wandering tourists.
