SUNDAY: Pedal pushers

The folks at Tupelo Music Hall Salisbury cq brag about the intimate oceanfront venue where most of the 400-plus seats are within 50 feet of the stage. Bragging rights should include the line-up at this new place, which hosts New Riders of the Purple Sage. The California group started out in 1971 with a guy named Jerry Garcia who was working on his pedal steel guitar moves. The band reformed in 2005 with original guitarist and vocalist, David Nelson, and pedal steel player, Buddy Cage, who replaced that Garcia fellow. Openers are Professor Louie & The Crowmatics.
