On Friday night, after they open for Christina Aguilera, the Pussycat Dolls will be at Gypsy Bar and Danity Kane will be at Mansion. It will be a reunion for the girls of Danity and Martii Garcia, the lead go-go dancer at Mansion, who would have been a member of the girl group had she not been kicked off P. Diddy's "Making the Band" reality show.

Also this weekend, the Center for New Words hosts a conference called "Women, Action & the Media 2007," which includes free screenings of films such as "I Was a Teenage Feminist," which plays at 7 on Saturday and features music by artists like Ani Difranco.

We assume that if you’re turned off by paragraph 1, paragraph 2 might float your boat.
