In Da (Cloud) Club

Posted by Emily Sweeney April 10, 2007 06:56 AM

Check out this old episode of Chronicle -- it’s kinda surreal.

You’ll witness Peter Mehegan giving the MTV Cribs treatment to the Cloud Club, a Boston artists’ collective located in the South End (a.k.a. home of the Dresden Dolls):

Once upon a time, I ventured over to Cloud Club-land (though at the time, I didn’t know the place had a special name) to check out a yard sale that Amanda Palmer & co. were having. I went over there with a friend, browsed through the stuff they were selling, but didn’t come across anything I wanted to purchase. The thing that impressed me the most was the backyard itself: a totally green, lush garden in the back of their South End brownstone.

Alas, the lovely yard was not for sale. (and alas, I was broke)

FYI....the Dresden Dolls are touring with Cyndi Lauper, Erasure and Debbie Harry, and they’re gonna perform at Harborlights the Bank of America Pavilion on Saturday, June 16th.
