O.K., so I'm totally excited for Wes Anderson's moody new film, "Darjeeling Limited," to open. The *technical* release date isn't until October 5 -- but that weasely Wes is such a tease!

Tomorrow night, he'll screen a short prequel-of-sorts, "Hotel Chevalier," for audiences at Apple stores in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Santa Monica. (Boston was totally snubbed, yo!) Filmed in 2005, "Hotel" clocks in at 13 minutes -- and includes a nude Natalie Portman (Nat makes a brief cameo in the full-length too). Hormonal chaos will ensue. So perhaps it's best that the short will also be released on iTunes Wednesday morning for free. Yay for the Interweb!

[Natalie Portman in hot yellow robe. Jason Schwartzman, you are the envy of male teenage "Star Wars" fans everywhere.]

For some action closer to home, be sure to RSVP for the advance screening of the film at Loews Boston Common theater on October 3. An RSVP doesn't guarantee seats, so you should arrive well before the 8 p.m. screening time. You might see me camping outside. Eating Sour Patch kids. You know, the usual drill.
