What's better than frosty margaritas, chips, salsa, and guacamole on a summer evening? Nothing. You had me at frosty.

Head to Union Square tonight for a salsa and guacamole throwdown at PA's Lounge. Judges will declare winners in three categories: best traditional salsa, best unconventional salsa (read: not tomato-based), and best guac. Even if you don't have an entry to contribute, you can still taste the offerings with fresh homemade tortilla chips to determine the people's choice winners. And, don't fear: there will be glorious margaritas and cerveza to wash it all down.

The competition kicks off at 7 p.m. It's 18+ and $3 to taste or enter ($5 to enter all three categories, Mr. Ambitious). Proceeds benefit the Walnut Street Center.
