ColorStruck: Women of Color in Comedy
Whilst roaming about the South End one evening, I stopped into Gaslight, where I happened to have the pleasure of meeting Bethany Van Delft. She’s a local comedian (with an impressive head of hair) and a founding member of “ColorStruck: Women of Color in Comedy.”
ColorStruck is a stand-up showcase that’s still going strong after nine years. Two shows are scheduled this month. This time around, the lineup includes Coleen Galvin (Providence), Esther Ku (NYC), Susan Alexander (NYC) Dhaya Lakshmi (San Francisco), as well as local favorites Deb Farrar-Parkman, Janet Cormier, and, of course, Bethany.
