Looking for a tasty dairy-free Alfredo sauce recipe? Try local foodie Lauren Ulm's new "Vegan Yum Yum" cookbook, based on her popular blog. She'll chat about the book and share some samples (yum, indeed) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brookline Booksmith.

FYI: Ulm is kind of a big deal. She was voted 2008 Blogger of the Year by VegNews.com, and even demonstrated how to make knit marzipan cupcakes on the "Martha Stewart Show" in 2007. Call it "eat cred".
