We know: It may seem somewhat gauche (or downright sacrilegious, depending on who you ask) to celebrate anything from New York during Red Sox season. But, trust us, you don't want to miss the Brooklyn Invasion at Formaggio Kitchen on April 17.

Sample treats from the following Big Apple purveyors:

- Liddabit Sweets (time TBA)
- McClure's Pickles (1 p.m.)
- Fine & Raw Chocolate (time TBA)
- Nunu Chocolates (noon)
- Brooklyn Brewery (1-4 p.m.)

An entire afternoon of free samples? Yes, please.

You can even wear your Red Sox jersey to the event if that will make you feel better.
