Beer as art
Dann and Martha Paquette — the husband-and-wife team behind Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project — are self-described "gypsy brewers," meaning that they borrow space at other breweries to craft their beers. The Paquettes' DIY approach to beer also extends to the labels. Starting today, their original sketches and finished labels for Jack D'Or, Fluffly White Rabbits, Babytree, and other Pretty Things brews will be on display at VeeVee in J.P.
My personal favorite is the label for the couple's newest beer Fluffy White Rabbits, which features jaunty hares on a wagon. How spring.
A rotating draft list will accompany the exhibit, which runs through May 10. You can even buy a Pretty Things poster to take home.
