Is your urban backyard cracked concrete and littered with grills, making lawn games an absolute challenge? I feel your pain. Head for greener, leveler pastures Saturday at Agassiz Baldwin Community's first annual Bocce Ball at Sacramento Field in Cambridge.

The event goes from 1-3 p.m. and includes matches on three grass courts, face painting, croquet, and a DJ spinning Italian songs. It's $10 for adults and free for kids — all proceeds go towards the construction of a new community bocce court in the center's backyard.

Festivities are weather-dependent. Let's hope Mother Nature likes bocce.
