Atlanta, meet the South End. Check out photos, videos, sculptures, and paintings in "Southern Exposure: Artadia Awardees 2009 Atlanta," a new exhibit at the Mills Gallery at the Boston Center for the Arts. It opens Friday and runs through Jan. 2 (the gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday).

The Mills Gallery is hosting several events in conjunction with the exhibit. On Friday, attend a talk with the artists from 6-7 p.m., immediately followed by an opening reception. Or, bring the kids on Dec. 4 for a family-friendly afternoon filled with interactive programming and workshops.
