If you're passing through Portland Sunday, you'll see scores of cyclists in cloches, blazers, ascots, and other dapper apparel pedaling around Old Port in the first annual Tweed Ride. The leisurely ride is sponsored by Portland Velocipede and starts at 1 p.m. at Tommy's Park and concludes at my favorite beer spot in the city: Novare Res (yum!).

There will be prizes for the best-dressed participants, so be sure to shine those shoes. Need inspiration? Check out photos from London's 2009 Tweed Run and a video from a recent ride in Washington, D.C.
