Everyone needs ideas and a little advice when it comes to finding the perfect wine, right? Leslie Sbrocco (left) was online to chat about vines, varietals, and vintages at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21 — you can also catch her this weekend in person at the Boston Wine Expo.

Sbrocco is the author of "The Simple & Savvy Wine Guide" and "Wine for Women" and a regular on NBC's Today Show. She'll lead the "Taste Like a Wine Pro" course at the expo Saturday.

The chat transcript follows.
