Cover your ankles, ladies! To celebrate the 146th anniversary of the original Langham location in London, BOND at the Langham Boston will host an afternoon tea service on Friday (June 10) for the 1865 price of 1 shilling, 6 pence — 15 cents, that is. Traditional Victorian dress (with a touch of pink to honor the hotel chain's signature shade) is encouraged. Three courses — comprised of petite treats, such as English cucumber, radish, and dill sandwiches and scones with Devonshire cream, honeycomb, and strawberry preserves — will be served alongside piping hot (or iced) Tea Forté teas.
Sittings begin at 3 p.m.; Reservations are recommended.
