United States bronze medalist Ross Minor is one of the stars at the Boston Common Frog Pond Skating Spectacular and Tree Lighting. The other is a 45-foot Nova Scotia Christmas tree adorned with 52,000 LED lights. There’s a pyrotechnic display after Mayor Tom Menino flips the switch to light holiday decorations on Boston Common and the Public Garden. Entertainment includes Joey McIntyre, ‘‘American Idol’’ finalist Siobhan Magnus, the Radio City Rockettes, Rockapella, the Boston Ballet, the Boston Children’s Choir, and saxophonist Grace Kelly.
