Thursday, October 4 is National Taco Day. Here are ways to celebrate in Boston.
Tour de Taco Yes, it's a Mexican staple, but it varies by region. Olé Restaurant Group chef Erwin Ramos takes diners on a tour of the country's cuisine with tacos featuring shrimp, steak, pork, and a variety of peppers. Oct. 4. $18 covers four tacos and sides. National Taco Day/Read for the Record It's not just National Taco Day, it's also Jumpstart's Read for the Record, when millions read a pre-selected book to bring attention and awareness to the early education achievement gap. This year's book is "Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad." Anna's Taqueria locations will display copies of the book, and donate a portion of proceeds from all taco sales to Jumpstart's mission of supporting quality early childhood education to children in low income communities.
