Tour the USS Constitution this Veterans Day.

Sunday marks Veterans Day, and many events in and around Boston are holding events to honor those who served previously or who are currently enlisted. Take the opportunity to learn a bit about Boston's military history, join in at fundraisers that support the troops, or send holiday greetings to the men and women in uniform.

Here are a few highlights to celebrate Veterans Day.

Boston Veterans Day Parade
: The annual parade starts at 1 p.m. and rolls through the streets of Boston, starting at the Boylston and Tremont Street intersection, and passing by the Boston Common, City Hall, and Faneuil Hall.

Veteran’s Day Fun Run
: Run for veterans, troops, and their families. Not a runner? Stand on the sidelines and cheer the runners who are participating. Race Day Registration is available.
When: Saturday, Nov. 10, 7 a.m.
Where: VA Medial Center, 200 Springs Road, Bedford

Head to the USS Constitution Museum: Observe the day by celebrating all things historic: Go aboard the USS Constitution and take part in the many interactive exhibits available. Best of all, the museum will also offer the opportunity to write letters to troops for the holidays.
When: Sunday, Nov. 11
Where: USS Constitution Museum, Charlestown Navy Yard, Building 22, Boston

Veterans Day Cruise: Step aboard a cruise ship and take in the military history of the Boston Harbor, beginning with the American Revolution. The cruise includes a visit to Dorchester Heights, the USS Constitution, and Georges Island. A great event for families -- and its free!
When: Sunday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Where: Georges Island

What are your plans for the weekend? How do you plan to spend the day? Leave a comment and let us know!
